Explore our benefits further here: Liver Disease Research Group at VCU led by Dr. Juan Pablo Arab isseeking a motivated and detailoriented Research Program Manager to join ourdynamic team. This position will be responsible for leading coordinating andoverseeing the research program focused on Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD). Thisincludes executing research strategies and ensuring the successful advancementof all studies. The role will involve liaising with academic researchershealthcare professionals industry partners and regulatory bodies to fostercollaboration and drive impactful discoveries aimed at improving patientoutcomes.
KeyResponsibilities:
Program Strategy:
Responsible for the management and of all Alcoholic Liver Disease research program studies.
Collaborate with PIs and senior leadership to develop and refine program goals objectives and key performance indicators.
Project Management:
Develop and maintain project plans timelines and deliverables for grant funded research initiative
Manage the daytoday operations of all projects
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to PIs and senior leadership.
Oversee the timelines and submission deadlines of research proposals grants and publications.
CrossFunctional Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical preclinical regulatory and data management teams to ensure integrated and efficient research efforts.
Manage partnerships and collaborations with key external partners.
Budget and Resource Management:
Oversee the financial aspects of research projects ensuring that they remain within budget and are costeffective.
Identify resource needs and work with internal teams to ensure appropriate allocation of personnel and funding.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevantfield (e.g. medicine biology biochemistry public health or relateddisciplines).
57 years of experience inclinical research preferably in hepatology metabolic diseases or relatedareas.
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
Highly organized with attention todetail and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborativeenvironment.
