Overview:


Shifts Available:

Evenings 0.81.0 FTE 32 hours/week 40 hours/week) 3:00pm 11:30pm

Nights 0.81.0 FTE 32 hours/week 40 hours/week) 11pm 7:30am

Weekend Option 0.9 36 hours/week) 7pm7am (Fri/Sat/Sun)

Starting Rate: $21.11 with potential for higher pay based on experience

Differentials: Evenings $1.50 Nights $1.75


Job Description Summary:


Provides crisis intervention training for Behavioral Health frontline staff.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Implements training programs and workshops teaching pediatric behavioral health crisis intervention skills and techniques to Behavioral Health frontline staff.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and performance of frontline staff. Makes recommendations and necessary improvements.
  • Responds to active crisis situations. Provides inthemoment feedback and facilitates debrief with frontline staff.
  • Employs deescalation strategies and demonstrates appropriate physical restraint escape and evasion techniques.
  • Ensures mandated training requirements are completed according to regulatory guidelines.


Education Requirement:

Bachelors degree in psychology sociology social work education criminal justice or related field or equivalent experience required.

Skills:

  • Proficient with MSOfficetime management and organization.
  • Requires autonomous direction and ongoing support and collaboration with unit leadership.
  • Demonstrates high level of initiative clinical decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills adept in collaboration and ability to relate effectively with all hospital staff.


Experience:

  • One year of experience in a hospital setting within the past 3 years required.
  • Experience in deescalation and safety training required.
  • Pediatric behavioral health experience required.
