Join SPCA Florida in making a difference as we are looking for a fulltime Veterinary Technician. We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Must Love Animals and Care about People.
- Preferred but not required: CVT Graduate from an AVMAaccredited program and/or equivalent experience as a veterinary assistant/technician.
- Have the ability to take radiographs and proper positioning.
- Have the capability to complete clinical laboratory tests.
- Proficient in humane restraint techniques in different situations and for various procedures.
- Having the ability to administer medications blood draws and I V Catheterization.
- Experience working as a veterinary technician in an established practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; attention to detail.
- Candidates must be eager to learn show initiativeand understand vaccine protocols.
- Ability to work in a very fastpaced environment with minor supervision.
- As a benefit the CVA online program is offered at no cost to the team member.
As a Veterinary Nurse you will provide compassionate patient and client care while assisting primary care veterinarians in the exam room and on the treatment floor.
