What Youll Be Doing
Join our Global Transaction Banking team and become part of a team focused on delivering innovative payment investment and trade finance solutions to CIBCs portfolio of foreign financial institutions. This position is responsible for supporting the development and growth of CIBCs network of correspondent banks around the world which is the cornerstone of a banks international payments and trade finance business. The role will support CIBCs relationship management team based in Toronto London and Hong Kong in delivering the full suite of capital markets products to its global bank clients including payment and deposit solutions trade finance foreign exchange products debt capital markets and derivative products.
The Global Transaction Banking group is positioned within Capital Markets Corporate and Investment Banking and supports financial institution and corporate clients across correspondent banking cash management and liquidity advisory trade and working capital finance and portfolio risk management.

In our Global Transaction Banking group you will be working with one of our teams to make a real difference for our clients.
Correspondent Banking: Responsible for the critical banking infrastructure that permits international payment and settlement flows across borders and currencies.
Global Banks Coverage: Manage CIBCs bank relationships globally in crossselling capital markets solutions and sourcing liquidity.
Trade Finance: Provide clients with innovative solutions around credit risk mitigation and liquidity access.
Portfolio Risk Management: Responsible for first line AML Program for foreign financial institution clients.
Cash Management: Support clients on operational banking needs and provide solutions for investment of excess liquidity.

How Youll Succeed
Payments and relationship management Collaborate with global partner banks to manage and optimize payment clearing relationships on behalf of CIBC. Provide essential payment product support to the Global Transaction Banking team and other CIBC stakeholders. Engage directly with clients to address urgent inquiries and requests ensuring that CIBC consistently delivers bestinclass service.
Process improvement Lead the management of CIBCs foreign currency clearing arrangements with correspondent banks focusing on cost reduction service quality enhancement and the efficient management of correspondent banking systems applications. Drive continuous process improvements to support CIBCs strategic goals.
Sales and marketing support & Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling clientfacing sales materials update websites and execute innovative marketing initiatives. Contribute to the creation of impactful marketing strategies that drive client engagement and business growth.
Growth and development Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities for payment products within the Capital Markets sector. Leverage market insights and client relationships to drive growth and expand CIBCs footprint in the global financial landscape.
Who You Are
You have relevant industry experience. Your experience in correspondent banking is an asset. You have basic familiarity with different global markets and trade finance products and custom solutions in high growth markets.
