Job Description
Supervises a production shift in an assigned process shift supervisor must lead shop floor associates to ensure daily operational goals and metrics are met as required by the Process Manager/Leader in a safe and clean environment while producing a quality product.
Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
- Communicate and administer Prysmian policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe work environment at all times
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
- Coordinate between different groups such as logistics and maintenance
- Resolve conflicts on the shop floor
- Perform necessary clerical activities such as time or record keeping
- Drive quality and cost saving initiatives
- Drive Lean principles
- Guide mentor and lead shop floor associates

- Meet or exceed cost saving or quality goals set for the process area
Specific Skills/Training Required
- Computer skills & ability that allow them to enter data use email and basic office programs
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to use written work instructions to complete task
- Ability to use measuring equipment including but not limited to OD tapes calibers micrometers
- Hazardous Waste Training
- First Responders Training
Education:
- High School/GED Diploma required
- Associate or bachelors degree in business preferred
Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
- Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
- Hearing Protection required in posted areas
- Other PPE as required for the job
- Ability to stand 812 hours on concrete floors
