GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Technical Writer is responsible for producing clear and concise documentation. The incumbent will establish SOPs for creation of documents and decipher complex technical concepts. This job will work closely with software architects developers product owners and other operational stakeholders to create and maintain comprehensive documentation that supports an endtoend solution covering all digital and operational assets.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Documentation Development: Create edit and maintain detailed technical documentation including but not limited to operational standard operating procedures system design documents user manuals and developer guides.
- Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with software architects developers and product managers to gather information understand project requirements and translate technical details into clear userfriendly content.
- Collaborate with Operational Teams: Work closely with account managers regional process managers and business analyst to gather information understand operational process requirements and translate into standard operating procedures for end users to understand and manage complex day to day operations
- Content Management: Organize and structure documentation in a logical easytonavigate manner. Ensure all documentation is uptodate and reflects the latest software updates and architecture changes.
- Review and Edit: Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy consistency and clarity. Edit and proofread content produced by other team members to maintain highquality standards.
- Technical Understanding: Leverage your deep understanding of software architecture principles to accurately document system design architecture patterns and best practices. Explain complex architectural concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- UserCentered Design: Develop documentation with the enduser in mind ensuring that content is accessible usable and effective in helping users achieve their goals.
- Tools and Standards: Utilize industrystandard tools and methodologies for documentation including version control content management systems and markup languages. Advocate for best practices in technical writing and contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on the use and importance of technical documentation. Act as a subject matter expert on documentation best practices and application support.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software architecture principles including design patterns system scalability and integration strategies.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Technical Communication or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in technical crossfunctional agile teams
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES
Professional certification may be required in some areas.
