Supply Chain Planning Inventory Mgmt Intern

Responsibilities

• Oversees activities related to Planning demand/supply schedules coordinates and monitors final approval of products through the complete manufacturing cycle.
• Works from Monthly Approval Start plans to establish production schedules (associated with labor and capacity requirements)
• Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are delivered according to schedules.
• Provides input to management schedules and/or interfaces with marketing sales production and engineering managers.
• Works to resolve (in case of design or schedule changes) labor and material shortages backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
• Oversees the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.
• Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
• Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering.
• Assists in developing and understanding capacity requirements tracking & managing inventory against the target and compliance with the production control system & process.
• Expects to make business decisions based on a complete assessment of demand/supply inventory levels work in progress and other efficiency indicators.
• Develops measurable KPIs and defines Hoshin.

Location
This internship will be onsite in San Jose California.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Inventory Management or a related field is preferred.
• Must be returning to school following the internship.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Proficient in Excel manipulating Data exporting and extracting data for report creation.
• Familiar with MsOffice in PowerPoint Visio etc.
• Having general knowledge of sound business and management principles and strategies is also helpful.
