Job Description
We are seeking a passionate SpeechLanguagePathologist (SLP) to join our team! In this role you will work withchildren with and without hearing loss following a traditional speechtherapymodel and will treat patients with hearing loss following an AuditoryVerbalTherapy model.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat children with and without hearingloss
Develop personalized treatment plans to support eachchilds needs
Work closely with audiologists educators andfamilies
Provide parent coaching and support for athomepractice
Supervise graduate students and SLPAssistants asneeded
Requirements:
Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology
Texas SLP license (or eligibility)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
Experience working with children especially thosewith hearing loss
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional Responsibilities:
Administer speech and language screenings
Build a strong referral network within the greater Houston area
Participate in staff development programs
Prepareand participate in lectures as assigned to the local and professional community
Participate in an annual review and mutual goalplanning for professional development and performance
Practice in accordance with the ASHA and AGBell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language Code of Ethics

oSuccessfully manage a schedule to includepatient appointments meetings etc
oPerform all jobrelated tasks withoutcompromising direct patient care
oSuccessfully manage difficult cases; requestassistance from Director of the Speech Therapy Services as necessary

Internet
Use ofthe internet for therapy activities and parent resources
Software
Basicunderstanding of Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Abilityto learn current EMR technology (IMS)
English Language
Specific Skills:
Abilityto communicate effectively and collaborate with other professionals
Travel:
Must beable to travel to attend conferences training and other events as required toacquire and maintain proficiency in fulfilling the responsibilities of theposition.
Physical Demands:
Stand;walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; able to lift 15 pounds; ableto endure outdoor temperatures for camp supervision or special events.
