Pay rate:
$51-$55/treatment hour based on experience and availability. We do reimburse
evaluations at $100 except in the charter school. Because the therapist is able to bill for
evaluation time and paperwork time they bill their hourly rate for evals in the charter school. All
other locations do have a $100 reimbursement flat fee for evals (face-to-face and report---this is
not a timed code with FL Medicaid).
Location:
St. Lucie County. Current opportunities are in Fort Pierce (close to I95 however in
time alternate locations may be available). Grace Therapies serves select Daycares
Preschools Private Schools Charter Schools and Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care facilities
(PPEC). No home visits. No outpatient office visits. The treatment locations served are selected
and determined by Grace Therapies.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist seasoned in pediatrics to join our team.
As an SLP you will provide therapy services to patients in various settings and supervise SLPA
caseloads. Your role will be crucial in helping children gain their independence and improve their
functional performance. The current caseload has flexibility with hours start/end time and
location(s). The position may require travel to more than one location in a day. The primary setting is a charter school that operates similarly to a school district SLP position but they also have opportunity in a PPEC setting. Experience in those realms is a plus. Medicaid credentialing is a plus.
This position is an independent contractor (1099) role.

Duties:
- Assess patient for speech-language therapy intervention and implement treatment plans when
recommending services
- Provide therapeutic interventions to patients including therapeutic exercises activities and
modalities
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologists/Assistants to update/modify treatment
plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health
- Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively with pediatrics

-Florida Medicaid Credentials (and managed care plan) credentialing (if you do not have
this--the sooner the better to apply to be ready for the Fall)
