Job Description

NACC Construction is continuing to grow and is looking for a qualified Field Safety Representative to join our NACC team at our Campos EPC location in downtown Denver. The Field Safety Representative is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety and has a comprehensive knowledge for the daytoday safety field operations for assigned tasks including planning coordinating and communicating safety regulations while serving as the companys point of contact. This will be a contract role supporting a project that is expected to last 68 months but it may allow for contract to hire depending on the upcoming workload of the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Conduct regular walkthrough inspections of work areas frequency will be determined by direct supervisor.
  • Gathering project information such as schedules assignments tasks and project meeting calendars. Disseminates information to Program Managers Project Managers Senior Engineers and other project team members.
  • Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Companys commitment to safety.
  • Assist field level supervision with identifying documenting and recommending resolution of hazardous and potential hazardous conditions; and provides follow through to insure corrections have been made and provide to supervisor for review. After supervisor has reviewed and approved the documentation then assist with review of documentation with field level employees and document training.
  • Managing incidents incident investigations and related reporting.
  • Assist field level supervision that is compiling data photographs and preparing all pertinent forms and reports in accordance with program procedures and federal state and local regulations associated with accidents and near misses.
  • Removal of employees from unsafe working environments and actions including stopping work if necessary and immediately communicating with direct supervisor.
  • Assists in all required training.
  • Communicates safety concerns to supervisor and appropriate field supervision including the site superintendent foreman and assistant superintendent.
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards in conjunction with field supervision.
  • Conduct weekly site safety reviews with foreman
  • Assist in prejob risk management
  • Attend prejob safety walk with superintendent and foreman to ensure GPR 811 and site documentation is accurate and marked appropriately.
  • Ensuring all safety related equipment is being bumped and calibrated and documented.
  • Ensure all equipment is being inspected daily and proper maintenance is being conducted
  • Complete safety observations weekly.
  • Maintain and ensure proper numbers of PPE are available onsite and coordinate with supervisor when new ppe is needed.
  • Encourage others to complete safety observations.
  • Assist in ensuring success of the safety incentive program.
  • Have an onsite presence at minimum 80 of time.
  • Coordinate with supervision to ensure onsite presence of safety during any extended leaves.
  • Ensure all vehicles are being inspected in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper PPE in accordance with site contract requirements notify superintendent and supervisor of deficiencies and coordinate with field supervision on disciplinary action to be taken.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in an occupational health/safety or related field. (preferred)
  • CHST (preferred)
  • 3 years Safety Experience
  • Prior experience with utility/pipeline work
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Current Certification
  • Possession of a valid driver license

PAY: 7080K A YEAR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Campos NACC Construction is a licensed contractor headquartered in Colorado specializing in renewable energy utility and oil & gas industry construction. We offer fullservice construction capabilities from planning through commissioning. Our experience includes all major construction disciplines including civil structural mechanical electrical instrumentation and controls. We have experience with greenfield and brownfield construction and can also offer operations and maintenance support.
