What You Will Do

Raytheons Effector Power (EP) Team is looking for an Electrical Test Engineer with education and experience in performing circuit card testing and troubleshooting to the component level utilizing schematics and test equipment.

The Effector Power Department is responsible for the development from concept to integration of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our frontend sensors. Each of these products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.

What You Will Do

Work with a team of engineers performing electrical tests and troubleshooting on subassemblies assemblies and systems for conformance to specifications

Understand and applying the theory of operation for the unit under test to enable determination of faulty product for design workmanship environmental and/or component defects.

Work on systems validation test and analysis while working through all phases of integration and test validation activities within the Labs.

Ensure customer success through the development and of innovative and comprehensive test verification and validation strategies processes tools and techniques.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local law/regulations.
  • Experience with prints schematics sketches and/or test procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting circuit cards at the component level.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes signal generators or spectrum analyzers.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience performing engineering tests such as ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure)
  • DVT (Design Verification Test) and DMV (Design Margin Verification).
  • A selfstarter a quick learner be able to function in a dynamic environment and have good time management skills. Should have an appreciation for how successful teams are structured.
  • Knowledge of programmable electronic parts including microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
