Job Description

The Tendering Engineer will be involved in the whole Sales and Marketing process with emphasis on preparing technical and commercial proposals.

What youll do:

Facilitate monitor and ensure the day-to-day implementation of Geoquips IMS policies/processes/procedures relevant to Sales and Marketing and in particular to the tendering process.

  • Reports directly and provides support to the Tendering Manager of all elements of the tendering process and in the preparation of proposals.
  • Prepares technical and commercial proposals.
  • Provides input into the client and tender data bases.
  • Assists the Tendering Manager to maintain the tender process.
  • Works closely with the Tendering Manager in the drafting reviewing negotiation of client contracts supplier contracts and subcontracts.
  • Pursues business opportunities mainly via obtaining information on leads prospects and tenders.
  • Communicates with all internal specialists (Operations Projects Logistics Contractual Legal QHSE etc) and 3rd party suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Assists the Tendering Manager in preparing reports analysis and reviews on market trends and tendering performance.
  • Responsible for the quality of the finished document the technical content and accuracy of cost build-up.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary which are within the bounds of the incumbents competence and function.

Who Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field and ideally in the field geotechnical experience.
  • Sufficient experience in a similar tendering proposals or technical sales engineering role.
  • Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Familiarity with specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of document control or proposal software is a plus.
