Job Description
An academically successful Girls school in Enfield requires a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join their supportive department from September on a permanent fulltime basis. The successful English Teacher will have a passion for literature and language and the ability to engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a committed English Teacher to contribute to the schools continued success.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students understanding and appreciation of English literature and language.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations in English Language and Literature.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive and timely feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and resources within the department.
- Encourage a love of reading and writing across the school.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to English.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
- Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to inspire girls.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
