Sociology Teacher Outstanding School Surrey
An Outstanding Ofstedrated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and insightful Sociology Teacher to join their Humanities/Social Sciences department. This is a fulltime permanent position primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school is committed to fostering critical thinking about social issues and empowering students to become active and informed citizens.
Responsibilities:
The successful Sociology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that explore the complexities of social life. You will cover a range of sociological topics theories and research methods encouraging students to critically analyze social structures and inequalities. Preparing students for success in Sociology examinations (GCSE and ALevel) and developing their research and communication skills are key responsibilities for this Sociology Teacher role.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Sociology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Sociology or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5 is essential. Strong subject knowledge a passion for sociology and excellent communication and classroom management skills are required. We need an inspiring Sociology Teacher.
