Duty Manager Bakery Department

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Bakery Department in a fastpaced supermarket environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh food retail excellent leadership skills and a commitment to delivering highquality products and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daytoday operations of the Bakery Department ensuring efficiency and high standards.
Lead and support the bakery team to achieve department targets and maintain excellent customer service.
Ensure all bakery products meet quality presentation and freshness standards.
Manage stock levels ordering and waste control to maximise profitability.
Ensure compliance with food safety health & safety and HACCP regulations.
Train develop and motivate staff to enhance performance and productivity.
Implement promotions and merchandising plans to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
Monitor department KPIs and take action to improve performance where necessary.
Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role within a bakery or fresh food retail environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of bakery production stock control and HACCP standards.
Excellent organisational and problemsolving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high standards.
Flexible and adaptable with a handson approach to work.
