Key Responsibilities:
1. Key Responsibility (60% of time): Provide vocational direction and support for the Fresh Starts janitorial crew to assist clients in maintaining employment.
So That:
- Utilize motivational interview trauma-informed care and harm reduction models to provide direct services and service coordination to employees.
- Assess employee needs provide relevant referrals connect to area resources and offer the appropriate level of support to each employee.
- Provide direct care including but not limited to job coaching employment assistance and transportation for all Fresh Start employees.
- Deliver high qualify crisis intervention and seek appropriate support to assist in difficult or emergency client situations.
2. Key Responsibility (40% of time): Ensure Shelter House fulfills all janitorial service contract obligations.
So That:
- All contracts are satisfied with janitorial services provided.
- All buildings are monitored for safety and security while the crew is on-site and at the completion of services.
3. Key Responsibility (10% of time): Build rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with employees and contracted partners.
So That:
- A trauma-informed workplace is achieved and maintained demonstrating a balance of kindness competence and care towards self others with whom we work and those for whom we provide care.
4. Key Responsibility (10% of time): Record and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner including but not limited to weekly staff meeting attendance maintaining timesheets and providing updates to the staff log.

- Documentation is completed prior to the end of every shift.

Reports to: Permanent Supportive Housing Employment Case Manager
Qualifications:
- Experience working with adults who have a chronic mental illness and/or other significant barriers preferred.
- A valid drivers license and the ability to be insured under company commercial auto insurance policy.
- The ability to drive a 12-passanger van.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 3:30 PM and 11:30 PM.
- Ability to related well to clients staff customers and people in the community.
- High level of independence ability to set priorities problem solve and follow through on own initiative.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and common sense in a variety of settings.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times and sit and stand for extended periods of time.
