The Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced IT Technician to join our dynamic IT department. This role demands a detailoriented individual who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments. You will be instrumental in maintaining IT infrastructure delivering highquality technical support managing network and system security and advancing technology initiatives across BGC.
A strong serviceoriented mindset excellent communication skills and a passion for innovation are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Deploy configure and optimize workstations laptops and user environments for optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware software and network issues using analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Utilize helpdesk systems efficiently while adhering to ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint and mobile device management (MDM) including device enrollment software packaging and deployment security policy enforcement and compliance reporting.
- Develop test and troubleshoot Intune MDM configurations device policies and software distribution strategies to ensure consistent device management and security standards across the organization.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols ensuring systems are secure and monitored for potential threats.
- Support audiovisual systems conferencing tools and IT needs for boardrooms meeting spaces and remote collaboration.
- Provide afterhours support when necessary to maintain business continuity.
- Participate in planning implementing and supporting new technologies and infrastructure projects.
Required Education Experience & Competencies
- 7 years of relevant IT experience in medium to largesized enterprise environments.
- Postsecondary education or certifications in IT (e.g. CompTIA Microsoft Cisco) or equivalent training.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Windows and macOS workstations and laptops.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a solutionsfocused mindset.
- Proficient with ITIL frameworks and helpdesk platforms such as Freshservice Jira or ServiceNow.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN VPNs wireless networking and infrastructure management.
- Experience managing servers virtualization and Azure hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection identity and access management and threat detection.
- Familiarity with AV systems and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune including MDM software deployment and device compliance management is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks work independently and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support remote offices.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $75000 $100000 CAD per annum however base pay will be commensurate with jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. BGCs compensation package also includes a training allowance and a comprehensive medical and dental plan.
