Job Description
WHATS THE JOB
We are seeking an efficient and detailoriented Pot Washer to join our team in Westmount Canada. As a crucial member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our busy kitchen environment.
- Clean and sanitize pots pans utensils and other kitchen equipment using proper techniques and cleaning agents
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment ensuring it functions properly and efficiently
- Sort and organize clean kitchenware returning items to their designated storage areas
- Assist in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness including floors work surfaces and storage areas
- Follow all health and safety regulations including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Report any damaged equipment or potential safety hazards to the kitchen manager
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed such as washing and peeling vegetables
Qualifications :
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment efficiently
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots and equipment
- Attention to detail in ensuring thorough cleaning and organization of kitchen items
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food handlers certification preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
