Customer Training Specialist

Primary Function of Position:

This training professional will deliver da Vinci and Ion technology training. As well as facilitate surgeon and physicianled training for surgeons physicians first assistants and OR staff from various surgical specialties including urology gynecology general thoracic and transoral surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. In addition the Customer Trainer Specialist will be actively involved in the continuous improvement of training programs and provide support for customer training engineering and training research initiatives. The Customer Trainer will report directly to the Training Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct da Vinci and Ion training programs for surgeons physicians and their care teams at designated training centers and remote centers
• Lead and support Specialized training programs and Society events. This includes supporting the needs of the surgeon educators and course participants
• Conduct surveys to gather data and measure program effectiveness
• Act as subject matter expert for internal projects as needed New product development
• Training material/ protocol development
• Training research initiatives
• Work with the Training team in a creative dependable and flexible manner to improve existing training programs
• Occasional support of the da Vinci System in a hospital operating room
• Support da Vinci troubleshooting and maintenance at the training center
• Manage training center logistics inventory training calendars and maintain accurate training records for course participants.
• Maintain all capital equipment including but not limited to the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessories
• Support positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management
• Contribute to the organizations quarterly goal achievements
• Develop competency in the following:
  • da Vinci technology
  • da Vinci applications and advanced technology
  • Ion technology
  • OR Efficiency
  • Training Pathway process
  • Training/coaching techniques/methodologies
• Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany after appropriate training as per legal requirement and provide guidance insight and support in the proper handling of Intuitive medical devices
• Maintaining competency and currency on technology training protocol following the onboarding program guidelines and annual competency
• Ability to work in a team environment

Qualifications :

Required Knowledge Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 35 yrs. Professional Training experience
• Proven experience training on complex topics and/or technology
• Clinical and/or operating room experience preferred
• High capacity and excellent problemsolving skills
• Proven organizational skills and ability to successfully operate independently
• Professional work ethic
• Comfort presenting in front of groups consisting of 10 or more people.
• Solutionoriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
• High capacity to learn in a fastpaced environment
• Medicaldevice experience preferred
• Commitment to selfdevelopment Minimum Education and Training Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences Healthcare Management Engineering Business Administration Communications or Education
