The Business Development Manager Civil / LSP plays a pivotal role in driving profitable growth and expanding market share within the civil and LSP sectors. As a key member of the Country Sales Team the BDM will proactively identify and capitalize on new business opportunities foster strong relationships with clients and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and senior management within Doka Australia.
This position will suit a profession with experience in project management to play a vital role in managing largescale civil and largescale projects.
This role requires a strategic resultsdriven professional with a deep understanding of the industry landscape capable of delivering innovative solutions that align with the companys objectives.
- Build and maintain strong and profitable relationships with clients and key decision makers
- Prepare and present proposals to clients to meet their requirements and offer solutions
- Extend the client portfolio to grow the market share in their relevant state or territory within the civil and LSP space.
- Overseeing and supporting the project lifecycle from inception to handover ensuring timely delivery across all areas and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of all Doka products key customers and relevant stakeholders
- Achieve sales targets as defined by Sales Management using outstanding presentation and negotiation skills to successfully close deals
- Prepare expressions of interests tender submissions and other marketing related material.
- Manage projects in a cooperative style with key stakeholders within the business and also external stakeholders relevant to the project
- Manage the hand over process for successful tenders
- Be the first point of contact for the clients during all stages of the project and support any projectrelated work including processing discounting rental rates and claims
- Promote and cross sell our range of products and services to new and existing customers
- Update and maintain customer records and enquiry status in our inhouse systems (CRM Management and forecasting)
- Take ownership of responsibilities and manage projects collaboratively with team members including operations engineering and other stakeholders across all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and successfully achieve target results.
Qualifications :
- Formal training business or equivalent is desirable
- Have minimum of 4 years experience in a BDM role in a similar construction sector
- Proven and solid practical sales and professional customer management experience in the industry ideally in system formwork.
- Experience within the civil and LSP space will be highly regarded
- Working knowledge and experience of the formwork and construction industry including technical understanding
- Have a proven / tangible track of securing new tender opportunities on projects in the non residential construction sector.
- Proven experience in a range of effective sales techniques
- Be a driven highly energetic and passionate about the construction industry
- Solve problems effectively and independently
- Be selfmotivated and solution oriented
- Work ethically and in accordance with compliance policies and procedures
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including operation and management teams
- Have a wellestablished network of clients / relationships in the sector
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills in English
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office and standard IT Programs
- Current Drivers License
