POSITION SUMMARY: The Restaurant Server is an energetic personable and reliable team member who will provide an outstanding dining experience by delivering food and beverages to guests ensuring their satisfaction and creating a welcoming environment. This is an essential role in maintaining a high standard of service and fostering longterm customer relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor and introduce them to the menu.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure that all guest needs are met throughout their dining experience offering additional items as needed (e.g. refills condiments).
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff bartenders and management to ensure smooth service and accurate orders.
- Check in with guests periodically to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.
- Process payments accurately including cash and credit card transactions.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area including resetting tables between guests.
- Adhere to all food safety sanitation and health regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu including ingredients preparation methods and potential allergens.
- Assist in opening and closing duties such as setting up and breaking down dining areas restocking supplies and cleaning.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure optimal service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner escalating issues to management if needed.
- Comply with all restaurant policies procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in orders and guest requests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of guests.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables or responsibilities at once.
- Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and using pointofsale (POS) systems.
- Friendly approachable and customerfocused attitude.
- Ability to handle stress in a busy environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must have physical stamina to stand walk and carry food trays for extended periods.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Available to work evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift trays plates and food orders weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to move quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
