EXP is currently searching for a Senior Inspector for our Alpharetta GA office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
- Oversee document review and assess contractors compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review construction documents and drawings to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
- Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
- Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contract submissions (critical path schedules RFIs etc.
- Assist the project Administrator with staff scheduling/coordination.
- Attend progress meeting and provide feedback on ongoing construction and issues.
- Supervision of Junior inspector.
- Inspection and testing of soils concrete steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with FDOT construction and specifications desired.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Observing general job safety practices.
- Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
- The ability to work as a team a plus.
- Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.
What your experience looks like
- Graduation from a university with a degree in civil engineering or from a four year college with a degree in civil engineering technology and three years of progressive transportation technician experience; graduation from a two year technical college with a degree in civil engineering technology and six years of progressive transportation technician experience; or graduation from high school and eightyears of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for State Highway Agency; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
- Passing scores on GDOTs Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 3 (Earthwork Bridges Incidental Items).
- GDOT WECS.
- GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
- GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
- NECIT Level III Certification or ASCE Equivalent
