Mentor Coach (Home Based) assists in the implementation of curriculum and best teaching practices in all Birth3 homebased programs across the Early/Head Start Network. Primary responsibilities include regularly scheduled socialization and home visit observations feedback and coaching community collaborations and HS/EHS trainings within assigned sites.

Reporting to the Mentor Coach Manager you will:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the Early/Head Start Network Child Development SubRecipients Community Partners and Directly operated Programs to ensure all home visitors are utilizing the curriculum to fidelity.
  • Provides ongoing coaching to Home Visiting Supervisor and/or mentor coaches at program sites.
  • Assists Home Visiting Supervisor with monitoring EHS socialization spaces to assure that they are safe nurturing and engaging learning environments for children.
  • Attends workshops and trainings related to home visiting services. Shares information from workshops and trainings with Early/Head Start Network.
  • Provides ongoing training and technical assistance to education coordinators and home visitors delegate partner and directly operated home visiting services.
  • Develops and disseminates information and resources related to early childhood to support home visitors and program quality improvement efforts.
  • Works cooperatively with other component coordinators to plan home services integrated with health mental health dental health nutrition parent involvement and social services.
  • Monitors child data base systems and provides support with producing quality observations assigning educational objectives and improving child outcomes for children.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as requested.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Education: Bachelors degree in Child Development (CD) Early Childhood Education (ECE) or in a related field.

Related Experience:

  • Five years of home visiting experience.
  • Three years of work experience as an early learning coach education coordinator consultant mentor or trainer.

Training or Competency:

  • Must be able to read write and speak proficiently in both English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement early childhood curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice for the specific children and families ages three to five.
  • Be able to remain abreast of developments in the child development field
  • Knowledge of and ability to access analyze and interpret Head Start Standards state and local licensing requirements and the organizations philosophy
  • Ability to work as a cooperative and supportive member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families various professionals and community groups
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Head Start and Early Head Start programs located in a highrisk lowincome community
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer applications and the ability to learn and master computer technology/software programs as needed.
  • Knowledge of Parents As Teachers Curriculum.

Base Annual Salary: $77400.00$90000.00

Grade: 16

As of the time of this posting this is the expected base annual salary range. The base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors including skills qualifications experience as well as business needs and limitations.
