As a Controller in Cognite you will be central in a team that is building the financial framework allowing Cognite to further scale globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to develop their accounting knowledge and business understanding. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst you will make it your mission to improve our financial reporting processes. You will help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
Tasks & responsibilities
Support the Business Controller with the billing cycle including customer invoicing and revenue recognition
Participate in revenue reconciliation analysis and monthly reporting
Review client WIP and accrued accounts monthly
Participate in the monthly and annual reporting and closing process
Prepare accounts payable/expense reconciliations for monthend close; review G/L for accuracy reclassifications if needed and completeness
Participate in the annual statutory financial reporting process
Responsible for communicating with external accountants in relation to accounting matters
Manage and monitor accounts ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate International Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and ensure that we have scalable systems and processes in place
Assist in maintaining group accounting principles and policies
Contribute to and support the internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) project
Required experiences
13 years experience preferably from a finance function in an international company or a global audit firm
Minimum Masters degree in finance or accounting
Handson experience with accounting and accounting standards (IFRS)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
A preference for learning and growing in a fastgrowing highly diverse and inclusive work environment
