JOB SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist plans and conducts assessment and treatment services for assigned residents in accordance with diagnosis and the overall plan of care and the stated objectives of the service. The Occupational Therapist works in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Service Nursing Services Recreation programs and other caregivers.
The position will promote the Mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate by supporting the care values regarding the provision of quality care loving environment Christian ideals and principles respect for life and dignity of person and preservation of our traditional ethnic customs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)
- Previous experience in working with the elderly and with seating/positioning preferred.
- Knowledge of Ukrainian preferred.
- Possess good communication skills both written and oral.
- Good mental and physical health and good attendance to meet the requirements of the position.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six 6 months prior to the start of employment.
Must be fully COVID19 vaccinated.
