Senior Technical Lead Infrastructure Architecture

Position Overview:

The Freddie Mac Infrastructure Architecture team is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to provide leadership and oversight associated with infrastructure architecture in partnership with engineering and operations!

Our Impact:

• Design and implement comprehensive IT infrastructure architectures that meet business requirements

• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps

• Ensure the security compliance and governance of infrastructure architectures

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure projects

• Conduct research and stay uptodate on emerging trends and technologies

• Provide technical leadership and guidance

• Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure designs configurations and procedures

Your Impact:

• Collaborate with other Infrastructure Architects to assure that the Freddie Mac environments are aligned with strategic vision roadmap principles and guidelines and can enable software engineering teams and solution architects to deliver on business outcomes

• Define and implement Reference architecture patterns which will be leveraged by development teams

• Be a leader through transformation into Agile Architecture and align with the Modern Delivery methodology within Freddie Mac

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred

• 10 years of experience in Infrastructure architecture design and implementation for a financial services organization

• 3 years of relevant largescale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture is preferred

• Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable

• Strong understanding of network architecture protocols and security (TCP/IP DNS DHCP)

• Experience with storage systems (SAN NAS) and backup/recovery solutions

• Deep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industry

• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS Azure)

• Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)

• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)

• Tech Certifications desirable (AWS Azure CNCF TOGAF etc)

• Handson and architectural experience with these is required in this role.

• Experience with AI/ML and GenAI Basics

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present complex subject matter specifically translating technology problems/solutions to business partners
