POSITION: Senior Manager of Math
LOCATION: DSST: Home Office located in Denver CO
SALARY: $74000$84000 with up to 6 years of aligned experience

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
DSST Public Schools seeks educators with a trackrecord of raising student achievement to join a team of educators dedicated to providing a rigorous college preparatory program to a diverse population. Our educators and leaders play an integral role in ensuring student success through supporting our school culture developing and instructing a rigorous core curriculum and using data to drive their daily practice. Our Senior Manager of Math will drive strong academic results in math courses across all DSST campuses. The Senior Manager of Math is responsible for the curriculum and assessments for all math courses the vision for excellent math instruction and how this connects to our overall vision for Curriculum and Instruction across all content areas in addition to leader and teacher professional development in service of this vision.
Math Leadership 20
Lead on the implementation of DSSTs vision for math instruction across all of DSSTs schools 6th 12th grade
Use data to effectively assess current state of math diagnose areas of need and set goals
Build relationships with members of the administration team on all campuses in order to positively impact student outcomes
Professional Development and School Partnership 40
Plan and lead professional development to develop school leaders on strategic aspects of the Math Vision
Collaborate with teacher coaches to support teacher development in strong instructional practices.
Create networkwide leader and teacherfacing professional development and support schools in effectively developing math teachers through professional development and coaching
Support teacher leaders to plan and execute strong contentspecific professional learning and collaboration in math.
Curriculum Implementation and Assessment 40
Ensure 612 math curriculum alignment and coherence
Regularly observe classrooms to ensure the quality of DSST math instruction
Ensure quality of DSST Math standards and alignment to external and internal benchmarks
Recommend and support schools with implementing high quality curricular resources and best practices
Lead the selection creation and revision of all internal network math assessments to ensure their quality and alignment of math assessments to grade level standards and proficiency bar
Gather and respond to teacher feedback on math assessments
Support network assessment administration by managing the implementation of math assessments across the network
Coordinate norming calibration and shared grading to ensure network math assessments are scored consistently and accurately across the network
Lead on math assessments and curriculum and support with assessment and curriculum systems administration and
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years of experience as a secondary 612th grade) or post secondary classroom Math Teacher
At least 2 years of experience as a school instructional leader (Teacher Coach Department Chair Content/Course Lead)
Strong track record of instruction and a high bar for student achievement
Deep understanding of the Common Core math standards and assessment best practices
Demonstrated belief in and knowledge of how to serve all students in order to accomplish the mission of DSST. This includes experience and knowledge in serving students in Special Education and MultiLanguage Learners.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using the Illustrative Math curriculum (either as an instructional coach or as a teacher)
Strong Upper Level (Algebra 2 or greater) math content knowledge
Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color students with disabilities and/or multilingual students
An unwavering belief that all students can succeed reach their most ambitious postsecondary goals and lead exemplary lives
Desire to personally professionally grow in their practice of becoming an antiracist educator
Selfawareness a regular practice of reflection and a desire to continuously improve
Demonstrated ability to coach manage and lead adults to outcomes
Demonstrated ability to build relationships across lines of difference
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated high level of professional maturity
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities at one time
