Would you like the opportunity to grow and develop your skills with a variety of learning and development opportunities National Records of Scotland (NRS) are looking for a collaborative and innovative individual to come and help grow our learning and development function within our organisation.
We are looking for a Capability & Talent Lead (B3 to work within the NRS People Services Team. This post sits within the HR function of the organisation which includes Workforce Planning Recruitment Personnel Management and Corporate Development (where this post sits).
This post is looking for an individual to review our current training needs across a variety of professions help design ways forward that are innovative cost effective and support the needs of our diverse workforce during an exciting time of change within our organisation.

Associate Membership of CIPD or willing to work towards.
Success Profile
Technical / Professional Skills:
1.Capability (learning and development)
Understands adult learning theory and how to design facilitate and evaluate learning plans and processes that apply different L&D approaches.
Understands how to create a learning culture and environment that supports continuing professional development.
2.Talent Management
Gathers analyses and presents people data to inform talent succession and contingency planning. Able to apply a range of approaches to defining developing and retaining talent on an individual and group level. Designs evidence/databased talent interventions to enhance capability drive diversity and address succession and contingency risks. Evaluates the impact of talent interventions and uses data to inform future planning.
3.Coaching mentoring and consultancy
Supports and uses coaching and mentoring models and skills to develop capability and talent and promote a coaching culture. Uses consultancy and data skills to analyse needs gaps and risks and to shape options and solutions.
4.Project management and commercial principles
Applies project management approaches to plan and deliver an activity or event including outcomes tasks resources risks and costs. Adept at supplier management can manage relationships with suppliers and partner organisations.
Experience:
Using data and evidence to make decisions and influence.
Designing planning delivering and evaluating L&D and/or talent interventions.
Building and managing relationships and partnerships.
