Job Description
Are you an expert in electromechanical testing and qualification of switches with a keen interest in power electronics Join our dynamic team and work in a stateoftheart laboratory where we rigorously test the switches and electronics of various Power Tools from hammer drills to lawnmowers and industrial tools. We are looking for a specialist to enhance our team in the testing and qualification of DC switches and electronics (PCBa including embedded software).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the expert for all types of DC power and signal switches within QMMs testing as the final step of engineering.
- Collaborate with diverse product teams and switch experts from engineering to derive necessary electrical and electromechanical qualification tests.
- Work on DC power electronics testing including battery management systems as part of the local testing team.
- Conduct and supervise component testing document results and draw conclusions.
- Assist in root cause analysis of failures.
- Present test results to development partners suppliers and other internal or external stakeholders.
- Strategically and operationally develop testing methodologies and facilities adapting to new products and considering field experience to achieve bestinclass switch testing.
- Represent testing methodologies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate using agile working methods in a truly international setup.
Qualifications :
- Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or a comparable field.
- Extensive experience in the design or testing of DC switches or electronics.
- Strong knowledge of switches both for several hundred amps and signal currents.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong argumentation abilities.
- Team player with an agile mindset.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong communication skills even in an international environment.
- Flexibility and independent working style.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
