Job Description
Overview
We have an opportunity for an EMC Technicianto join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI) and signal integrity (SI) testing of automotive components. This role involves a high degree of creativity and initiative in developing and supporting EMC/EMI/SI testrelated activities.
As a member of the operations team the Technicians position performs a variety of routine and nonroutine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EMC test and development programs.
- Design test and troubleshoot electronic systems to meet EMC standards.
- Analyze EMI/EMC issues and implement solutions such as shielding grounding and interference minimization.
- Set up and verify test instrumentation document test results and compile final test reports.
- Communicate with clients during test setup and performance to demonstrate methods and discuss results.
- Fabricate and verify test samples/assemblies.
- Diagnose analyze and troubleshoot EMC/EMI and signal integrity test configurations.
- Program debug and troubleshoot automated test controller systems.
- Assist in the automation of EMC test systems.
- Maintain knowledge of operational procedures for all test equipment including spectrum analyzers EMC receivers signal/impulse generators antennas and oscilloscopes.
- Must be able to perform EMC testing on Electronic bussed electrical centers USB charge and data mondules.
- EMC Technician will be responsible for running tests on ADAS control electronics Device Wireless charging modules and ADAS camera systems.
Skills / Qualifications
- Associate degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience required. Candidates with experience in Wireless Communications or Automotive Radio Frequency are also considered.
- Proficiency with electronic/electrical test equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 13 years of related experience in electromagnetic compatibility or radio frequency testing preferred.
- Working knowledge of radio frequency.
- Background in analog and digital circuitry.
