SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Senior Director Finance Operations is responsible for managerial oversight of manufacturing entities across the US and as a liaison between those site finance teams and Corporate Finance for all financerelated matters.

Oversees designated site controllers and Finance teams

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Provide leadership and direction to designated site controllers and act as a liaison between those site finance teams and Corporate Finance for all financerelated and staffing matters.
    • Develop and demonstrate technical expertise in accounting reporting business matters and practices specific to those operations/sites.
    • Drive process improvements and standardization of best practice across each site
    • Identify and implement temporary assignments and project opportunities across the team to improve staff development.
    • Review monthly financial results and related disclosure schedules with site controllers and local management prior to submission to Corporate Accounting.
    • Assist Corporate Accounting in resolving financial questions or issues related to global consolidation.
    • Review quarterly forecasts and annual budgets with site controllers and local management prior to submission to Operations FP&A and presentation to senior and executive management.
    • Monitor the design and effectiveness and test local internal controls and notify Corporate Finance of any changes in internal controls.
  • Partner with Corporate & International FP&A in analyzing and monitoring budgets and forecasts for the designated sites.
  • Partner with the GBS team on all outsourced activities providing guidance and review of impacted GLs and processes.
  • Partner with local site management and OLT driving finance teams to be business focused and key members of the local site management.
  • Prepare various financial analyses and present such information to senior and executive management.
  • Participate in acquisition due diligence and any subsequent transition team.
  • Assist tax department in tax accounting planning and compliance matters.
  • The individual must be available to travel periodically.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The position requires excellent planning management communication skills regular interaction and coordination with the local site teams around the US. The individual must be able work within broadly defined practices and policies as well as demonstrate the ability to design and implement both effective and efficient processes procedures and internal controls.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required for this position.

  • Education: An undergraduate degree in accounting is required MBA is a plus.
  • Certifications: CPA is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in controlling or financial reporting positions preferably at publicly traded companies medical device experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated management of teams ranging from 5 to 20 employees within a multisite manufacturing environment.
  • Effective planning communication and writing skills also required.
  • The ability to multitask in a fastpaced accounting environment and perform functions such as the creation and maintenance of complex spreadsheets account analysis and reconciliation.
  • This individual must be highly detail oriented and skilled with a PC and software packages.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This role is hybrid between Princeton NJ and remote. Office days are Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
