Job Description
Ready to make an impact in investment management Join our collaborative team to analyze taxexempt instruments optimize credit modeling and create advanced investment strategies using programming and structured finance expertise. Driving market efficiency and technology adoption you will directly contribute to our funds exceptional performance in one of the fastestgrowing sectors in the municipal market.
Core Responsibilities:
Identify understand and model mispriced taxexempt instruments and present investment recommendations to credit and trading teams.
Identify market inefficiencies to better model expected portfolio outcomes and develop strategies to benefit from inefficiencies; originate and execute on novel analytical approaches to municipal relative value.
Leverage programming expertise while learning structured finance sectors including tobacco settlement and other securitizations project finance distressed and restructuring scenarios etc..
Use data and advanced learning techniques to reinforce how we allocate layered credit trades model risks and identify opportunities.
Consolidate and improve bespoke and fragmented credit modeling capabilities into a more optimized user experience.
Support continued technology adoption in lowtouch areas to increase efficiency.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum three years related work experience related finance/economics/statistics work experience preferred.
Undergraduate or higher degree in a STEM field.
Experience with Python (including NumPy Pandas QuantLib etc. SQL complex datasets and willingness to learn.
Interest in pursuing or progress towards CFA designation.
