Job Description

The Marketing Sales Manager while contributing to the overall marketing objectives of the team will ultimately be responsible for the full sales and coordination function of all promotional courts indoor and outdoor advertising locations and sundry space and media. This includes direct sales of court space indoor and outdoor advertising and sundry stock marketing of the space contracting all exhibitors overseeing all setups and breakdowns of exhibitions and ensuring all that all controls are in place and are adhered to at all times. The Marketing Sales Manager will also assist with conceptualizing and implementing centre wide exhibitions and events negotiation with potential media sponsors leveraging and securing sponsorships and partnerships for events networking with potential sponsors liaising with event and exhibition companies reviewing promotion and exhibitor proposals and attending to incoming sales calls. The Marketing Sales Manager will lend support and be actively involved as and when required to achieve the marketing teams objectives and strategy outputs.

DUTIES

Sales Exhibitions Events & Indoor Advertising

  • To ensure that the set annual sales income target is successfully achieved for both exhibition sales and indoor and outdoor advertising
  • To drive sales through direct marketing initiatives sales calls sales pitches visitations to tenants booking agencies event companies and agencies on an ongoing basis
  • To assist in conceptualizing coordinating and selling centrewide exhibitions and to ensure that all such events fall within the marketing strategy objectives
  • To ensure that all exhibitions and external promotions are successful potentially increasing quality foot traffic driving turnover and extending dwell times
  • Assist with implementation of the events to oversee set up process and day to day operation of events as instructed
  • To ensure that all exhibitions and external promotions are professionally staged with flooring furniture display material etc
  • To attend to all incoming exhibition and external promoter calls and web enquiries and proposals and to work together with the event team with regards to all potential event opportunities (marketing team)
  • To manage the promotion court booking calendar and to ensure that proactive sales action is taken when courts are not booked
  • To oversee all court setups and breakdowns and to ensure that the rules and regulations are adhered to at all times / OHSA compliance
  • To directly brief and coordinate all crew/ maintenance assistant activity relating to court display setups
  • To liaise with all relevant departments to ensure communication between all departments
  • To evaluate incoming event and promotion proposals consider opportunitiesl and follow up accordingly.
  • To evaluate each exhibition and promotion and to submit an evaluation report monthly on all exhibitions including the events foot count turnover (if applicable) media campaign values overall success rate and other relevant data
  • To take responsibility for all assets used in promotional court displays including flooring stanchions stands and the like and to ensure these assets are properly stored and managed accordingly.
Sundry Sales & Service Providers

  • To act as the daytoday centres liaison with all service providers contracted to sell media space and any advertising platforms.
  • To investigate further opportunities to increase sundry space income in the internal and external areas of the centre
  • To coordinate all approvals as needed
  • To coordinate all invoicing requirements
  • To collate any reports as needed by the Marketing Manager/ National Sales Manager
  • To monitor all sundry sales stock incentre and instruct repairs with service providers as needed in line with their SLAs (iPoint Primedia SB Outdoor The Media Factory etc.
Sponsorships

  • To assist with negotiating joint ventures partnerships and sponsorships where possible to further maximise the marketing and centres budget
Administration

  • To submit a monthly report on the stipulated date each month detailing a full evaluation of the promotional courts and detailing upcoming exhibitions and promotions
  • Ensure that tenant supplier and client databases are consistently maintained with accuracy (i.e. segment per category demographics etc.
  • To assist the Marketing Manager with information for the monthly graphs tracking relation between visitor figures and events and promotions by overseeing collection and maintenance of data from events and competitions on database
  • To ensure that all processes and administrative controls for the function are always adhered to and that contracts and monies are received in time before the client is allowed access to the space booked
  • To ensure the booking schedule is always updated with bookings and income
  • To liaise with the finance team on a regular basis to ensure all invoices are received and sent to the client timeously
  • To ensure that no client is in arrears and to facilitate any legal course of action that need to be taken
  • To ensure all clients adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations and to ensure all related administration is completed
  • To ensure that all floor plans are received prior to setup times and approved before exhibitors are allowed access to the court or area they have booked.
  • To respond to all exhibition / promotion proposals from third parties
  • To maintain files of all exhibitors contracts proposals and relevant paperwork
  • To do a monthly inventory check on all advertising (indoor and outdoor) that is displayed

Tenant Liaison and Communications

  • To provide factual copy to the Marketing Manager on all highlighted exhibitions and promotions for the Tenant Broadcasts Sneak Previews Email Newsletters and Website (Where applicable)
  • To ensure that the full exhibitor and promotion calendar information is kept up to date on the website
  • To ensure that all information staff are informed about all exhibitions external promotions and centrespecific campaigns
  • To ensure publicity for all exhibitions and external promotions where relevant
  • To liaise with tenants and regional head offices on an ongoing basis to encourage use of the promotional areas and to consider opportunities for possible coevents and to gather information about their marketing activities
  • To handle all tenant and customer complaints relating to the exhibitions and booked promotions
  • Complete a daily mall walk and ensure that tenants adhere to house rules
  • Conduct regular tenant visits and store audits
  • Assist with implementing and organising Golden Thread activation with the internal team and conduct and manage monthly reward and recognition ceremonies and post winners on office and service providers cork boards

Assist with the marketing function and to lend support to the team on site

  • To assist with various tasks as and when required with the aim of achieving marketing objectives
  • To assist and provide support to ensure implementation of all marketing strategy objectives
  • To be available for overtime work fall into weekly/weekend duty roster and to be available for event work as and when required including weekends and after hours
  • Assist in annual Festive dcor selection setup and breakdown.


Requirements

  • Industry relevant diploma/ degree
  • Minimum 2 3 years marketing experience preferably in a sales role
  • Office 365 suite
  • Proficient in Excell
  • Excellent at administration
  • Understanding of legal contracts and content thereof
  • Understanding of public liability insurance and how it relates to 3rd party exhibitors and event organisers
  • Valid drivers licence and own transport
