OVERVIEW:
The Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology support to over 13000 employees. OIT oversees large scale enterprise applications that support the critical and diverse business needs of the State of Maine and its agencies.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Office of Information Technology provides a full range of enterprise technologies to support the citizens of Maine. This position is responsible for the MaineIT Network Security Operations Section that support the State of Maine and its constituents. This position will oversee the tools staff and process used to provide Firewall and secure Internet services. This position will be responsible to ensure both internal and external connections required by the State of Maine and external vendors are secure. This position is responsible to work with subordinates senior IT management internal partners and external vendors to ensure our customers can achieve their business goals. This position is an integral member of our IT leadership/management team and will play a critical role in helping serve the citizens of Maine through the provision of vital enterprise IT services.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
In this role you will be able to demonstrate leadership skills by managing the Network Services group responsible for Network Security Operations for the State of Maine. This position is responsible to manage the teams operating Perimeter and Data Center Firewalls Remote Access Services DNSDHCP services and Web Application Firewalls. Direct supervision of this staff in daytoday operations is expected. The position will also interact with a full range of IT staff from all areas of the enterprise as well as business partners vendors and consultants.
