Job Description

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banks Securitized Product Group team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting independently
- Writes secure and highquality code using the syntax of at least one programming language
- Designs develops codes and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leadingedge technologies
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Learns and applies system processes methodologies and skills for the development of secure resilient scalable stable code and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills.
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience. In addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- 12 years handson experience using Java 17 or higher Spring Boot and PL SQL
- Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Must have solid understanding of Micro Service design pattern development & deployment experience on a cloud platform
- Proficient in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Exposure to AWS or any other public cloud
- Proficient in agile software methodologies CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies like React
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.
- Have experience in building and growing talents in the past would be a plus
- Must be able to adopt to the fastpaced environment with changing requirements and multiple different technologies
