Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Career and SelfDevelopment the tutor will develop more skills/awareness by working with students who are exploring their own career pathways and life skills. Leadership tutors will lead students through workshop teaching materials personal advising and event management. Equity and Inclusion by working with students tutors will become more aware of the high and unique needs of our students. Teamwork GO College staff works as a team continuously in the office and during events. Communication GO College tutors learn to diversify their communication styles to effectively impact our students. Gannon Universitys GO College program in the Erie School District is seeking tutors/mentors to assist/work with our two summer weeklong programs for rising freshman and seniors during the weeks of July 7th 11th and July 21th 24th. Programming runs from 8:303:00 daily and occurs predominantly on Gannons campus with a regional trip scheduled for the last day of camp. Camp preparation hours prior to the weeks are also available. GO College is a federally funded college access program. Duties include: Leading students to various activities on campus. Leading icebreakers. Providing leadership direction and correction to students. Engaging students with instructions and providing a positive mentoring presence. Provide mentoring to students and encourage them to make smart decisions

Required Qualifications
Ability to obtain clearances (criminal FBI childabuse). Ability to effectively communicate with high school students. Must have a leadership/mentoring persona with an ability to connect with and engage with high school students. Outgoing personality and ability to work with a variety of personalities cultures and learning abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience tutoring/mentoring in a middle school and/or high school. Availability during the two specified weeks.
