Sr. Engineering ManagerWhat does a successful Engineering Manager at Fiserv do
As an Engineering Manager at Fiserv you will build lead and mentor a highperforming engineering team cultivating a culture of ownership accountability and collaboration. You will support the career growth and development of your team members through regular feedback coaching and training opportunities. You will define and drive the engineering strategy in alignment with the companys goals and priorities overseeing the planning and of multiple engineering projects to ensure highquality timely delivery.
About the Business Unit:
The Customers and Loyalty team at Clover plays a critical role in driving merchant retention customer engagement and new revenue streams. As core pillars of Clovers growth strategy these areas are central to expanding our market reach and enabling longterm success. The team is currently focused on delivering highimpact products while also exploring exciting future opportunities. With such ambitious plans we are looking for an experienced Sr Engineering Manager to lead this dynamic team providing the mature leadership necessary to balance innovation team growth and strategic on a larger scale.
What you will do:
Establish and continuously improve engineering processes ensuring predictable delivery cycles scalability and quality.
Implement best practices for code quality testing and deployment to maintain a high standard of engineering excellence.
Work closely with crossfunctional teams including product management design and business stakeholders to align engineering priorities with broader company objectives.
Serve as a key representative of the engineering organization in crossfunctional discussions ensuring technical considerations are factored into decisionmaking.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex engineering challenges and architectural decisions.
Stay uptodate with emerging technologies trends and tools leveraging them to enhance the teams capabilities and product offerings.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders.
Drive a culture of innovation encouraging the team to explore new ideas tools and methodologies.
What you will need to have:
Experience in developing robust web applications with expertise in designing and managing scalable APIs
8 years of experience with Java including handson coding and debugging
5 years of people management experience with a proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams
5 years with SQL or NoSQL databases including database design optimization and performance tuning
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
Experience with Agile methodologies and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Proficiency in tools like JIRA for project management and tracking
Experience with cloud platforms particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
What would be nice to have:
Experience with delivery ownership software
Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and technologies
Excellent leadership and teambuilding skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
Proven ability to manage crossfunctional teams and collaborate effectively with product managers designers and other stakeholders to deliver highquality products
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent work or military experience preferred
Salary Range
$124300.00 $213100.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
