Job Description

Job Description Summary
The instructor is responsible for the coordination planning preparation presentation and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities during the day evening or weekend via instructional delivery formats to include facetoface hybrid online and remote. Facetoface and hybrid classes may be offered on any Prince Georges Community College campus. The instructor must remain current in the discipline area and continually explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes. The instructor is also responsible for participating in related activities to include professional development academic advising curriculum design.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree or equivalent certification and accreditation from recognized college university or national state or regional organization. Minimum two years experience in teaching and/or workforce training and/or apprenticeship programs Related verifiable work experience AREA SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Information provided based on the area discipline discipline specific credentials and/or education are listed here. Provide instruction to a diverse adult population Possess the ability to plan organize and implement curriculum timely and efficiently Provide instruction in Professional Development and 21st Century Skills such as soft skills critical thinking problem solving oral/written communication teamwork collaboration professional work ethic career management leadership digital technology and intercultural fluency Provide a combination of interactive lectures visual presentations small group interactions and roleplaying activities designed to enhance program participants understanding of employer expectations Conduct employability profile assessment Provide career coaching resume development and mock interviews Evaluate student progress through examinations quizzes and observations Attend meetings trainings orientation sessions and graduation/completion ceremonies KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES Remote and Online teaching Technology skills and computer literacy Critical thinking organization and conflict management Communication and interpersonal skills Research skills Time management Teamwork Planning and organization Problemsolving and analytical ability
