How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Join our international proposal team in Frankfurt Germany and become a valuable team member. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in all kinds of plant engineering projects including different technologies such as Cryogenic Lurgi Electrolyzer or biogas. You will support complex international proposals during all steps included until study feed projects or contract phase. You will own the documentation of all costs during each project phase. Your mission is to gather compile and complement all relevant cost information needed to deliver an accurate proposal estimate.
Your tasks will include the following:
You will act as process owner for collecting providing and documenting costs during all project phases until final handover to Cost Controlling
You are responsible for the preparation of cost estimates for proposals projects contract estimates and for all Total Installed Cost (TIC)
You prepare and maintain Estimating Concept and Strategy as well as a consistent record of Basis of Estimate.
You support the process department during value engineering and development of processes by setting up cost comparisons for process alternatives to find the optimum cost solution
In order to get all the relevant details to estimate the cost part of the proposal most accurately you will cooperate with the technical and commercial disciplines
Additionally you will assist the Proposal Manager Commercial Contract Manager and Sales Manager in determining the costs within the specified time schedule and the proposal manhour budget
After contract award you will convert the proposal into the initial Contract Estimate which forms the basis for project cost control under the responsibility of the Cost Controller
Are you a match
Bachelors Degree within Science or Engineering (Process Mechanical or Chemistry)
You gained relevant working experience in the field of estimating within a plant manufacturer or an engineering service provider
You are familiar liaising with different internal stakeholders to understand different technologies in order to support the cost estimation process
You feel comfortable applying different estimating tools procedures methods and possess profound understanding of various costs elements
Supporting various project teams helped you to strengthen your understanding of different projects phases including construction erection commissioning startup and its cost drivers
You are fluent in English
Ideally you bring basic know how in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator
You are solution and team oriented like to collaborate with others and have solid presentation skills
