Job Description & Summary

At PwC our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions divestitures and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

Those in financial due diligence at PwC will focus on providing strategic advice and business diligence services to clients in their mergers acquisitions and divestitures. You will be responsible for analysing financial information focusing on quality of earnings and assets cash flows and other key client deal issues.

About the role

We help our clients stay ahead of changes that impact their businesses navigating complexity and risk. We deliver deep tax technical people and legal expertise while providing the critical context to make informed and compliant decisions.

With clients ranging from multinational organisations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses the work we do is diverse. Our Private Client Alternative Investment Fund team specialise in advising wealthy individuals and their businesses in the Alternative Investment Fund space.

We work within both PwCs Private Client Network and AIF network collaborating widely to offer a holistic end to end service to our clients. We value curious minds and collaborative spirits working together to help clients navigate the ever changing tax landscape.

As part of the team youll be actively encouraged to consult to share specialist knowledge and new ideas as we continue to innovate to deliver a best in class service.

What your days will look like

  • Communicate confidently in a clear concise and articulate manner verbally and in written form.

  • Act as goto contact with the client responding to issues and questions.

  • Communicate with colleagues on when they can expect to receive back work and effectively project manage compliance and consulting tasks.

  • Lead catch ups with colleagues to run through clients. Commit to dates by which projects will progress.

  • Explain relevant client positions and reconciling notices or letters.

  • Drafting element of UK personal tax returns.

  • Ensuring information from the client all relevant emails and financial documents are saved referenced and reported correctly.

  • Ensure calculations and reporting clearly demonstrate thought process proactively flag anything that needs further attention from the SA/M/SM. Noting and explaining a clients ultimate position. Research make and propose decisions on how things will be reported and explain reasoning.

  • Assist in training be this through supporting on a training sessions or identifying topics/areas that the team need training on.

  • Review proposed bills.

  • Take a role in the team outside of client work e.g. assisting with overall training program working on technology for the team helping with season kick off BD for team in terms of raising profile internally and externally.

This role is for you if

  • Basic UK Tax Knowledge.

  • Experience of working within or associated with a large tax team

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet several deadlines throughout the year and deliver highquality work.

  • Excellent communication skills the candidate will be expected to be one of the points of contact on client engagements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication providing thorough and robust preparation of written deliverables

  • Efficient use of technology in managing client and contact relationships
