You will provide GHDs construction phase support services to new and existing clients on multiple simultaneous projects.This position can be located in the following Southern California officesLong Beach or Irvine CA.
We are seeking to hire an experienced Construction Manager Water/Wastewater for our growing SoCal offices. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering design and construction management principles and will be familiar with the construction of commercial and municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Providing construction management for our water projects (i.e. pumping stations pipelines treatment facilities etc. transportation projects (roads trails traffic improvements) as well as coastal environmental energy projects throughout the region. In addition to leading during construction phase contributions will include involvement in the planning permitting design and procurement.
- Collaborate and provide project oversight by maintaining communications between project teams clients and contractors to deliver projects safely on time at or under budget and to the clients expected standard of quality
- Serve as a project contact and grow strong client relationships
- Provide input concerning constructability and biddability during design and develop project construction schedules and estimates based on risk evaluation and advise on delivery method
- Develop review and track contract documents and status report relative to schedule cost and staffing and other related construction contract requirements
- Oversee contractors compliance with project permits design specifications and drawings
- Process pay estimates; make appropriate recommendations to client on payment issues
- Collaborate with Program Management Office manage document control including processing all project correspondence documents and drawings preparation of various technical reports
- Provide appropriate responses and/or recommendations on construction issues; consult with engineering staff on technical matters
- Review document and negotiate Construction Change Documents Change Orders and dispute resolution on behalf of the client and coordinating with the Design Engineer as required
- Coordinate equipment and process startup testing and optimization
- Manage the financial performance of our consulting services contract including invoicing budget tracking progress reporting and change management
- Proactively coach train and motivate project teams managing and maintaining project requirements for safety quality productivity throughout the duration of the project
- Identify business development opportunities lead procurement efforts including proposal and interview preparation
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Civil Engineering Architecture Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and management experience
- Minimum 8years of experience as Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on multiple simultaneous construction projects
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction methods standards specifications and plans
- CCM certification a plus
- Strong computer skills and experience with webbased document management systems Procore or equivalent Building Information Modeling (BIM) and MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with different delivery methods

Salary Range: $114000 $171000 based on experience.
