Governance delivers a range of programs and services including the provision of governance advice and the delivery of governance awareness initiatives administrative support to Councillors management of internal databases and Council records supervising business paper preparation and minute taking undertaking research on best practice governance and supporting Councils internal stakeholders.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised individual with great people leadership skills to join the information management team in the position of temporary fulltime Information Management Team Leader.

This position is responsible for the supervision and administration of the daytoday work processes of the Information Management section in accordance with legislative requirements Councils business rules procedures and policy. The Information Management section has recently moved from a traditional recordkeeping system to a contemporary SharePoint solution. The successful applicant will proactively and confidently provide recordkeeping support and advice to the team and wider organisation ensuring new systems are used to their full potential andquality Information Management services are provided to Council.

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary education in Recordkeeping or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of the State Records Act 1998
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the daytoday operations of a busy records management section including the mail processes document batching scanning registration and distribution of documents
  • Demonstrated experience in manual electronic document and contemporary Record Management Systems including auditing and reporting of information
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and motivating staff

Salary:The commencing salary for this position is $90063.00 per annum plus 11.5 Superannuation.
