Job Overview:
Responsible for quantitative and qualitative analysis of actual and projected business results and ensuring a robust internal control and financial policy compliance culture across the organization. In addition this role will work cross functioning to drive internal business improvements and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries reconciliations and variance analysis to support the monthly close process.
- Prepare payroll entries and reconciliations investigating discrepancies in coordination with the payroll department.
- Assist the accounting manager in ensuring a timely and accurate close including financial statement preparation
- Analyze departmental expenditures and provide insightful commentary on budget variances and financial performance trends
- Prepare supporting schedules and perform balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline Tool.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in timely manner.
- Engage in crosstraining with team members to enhance team resilience and support business continuity.
- Assist with the financial analysis compliance and reporting requirements and ad hoc projects to drive efficiency and strategic decision making.
The Recipe for Success:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field along with a CPA designation
- Minimum of 5 years experience (at least 2 years in a senior role)
- Experience working in a multicurrency environment analyzing currency impacts on financial reporting
- Detailed oriented and analytical mindset with a strong understanding of accounting principles (knowledge of US GAAP)
- Strong excel skills and the ability to perform advanced excel formulas
- Experience with tight month end close in a fastpaced environment
- Reliable efficient flexible and result driven
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
