Job Description
Your Tasks
- Drive the technology strategy operations and its agile delivery in the Global Order Fulfillment Platform and its associated Value Streams at MMS supporting online and store business in 10 countries
- Fastforward the evolution of Customer Order Engine Order Services and value stream products ahead competition by applying technology best of breed solutions engineering excellence and practices
- Lead a strong and growing team of Java/Kotlin backend fullstack and cloud engineers 40 FTE
- Be responsible for large budget planning delivery and KPI achievement
- Develop the Order Management Fulfillment driven by functional KPIs and OKRs in line with the strategy of relevant Value Streams
- Identify and build the right talents for the product/platform engineering teams together with engineering managers and platform product owner
- Work closely with business product owners agile coaches and engineers to create out of a vision a product delivery and own the delivery plan
- Actively foster crossfunctional collaboration with engineering and product leads across all value streams of the global MMS product portfolio
- Tactically steer day to day Order Fulfillment Platforms operations and 3rd party managed services to ensure 24x7 business continuity
- Align scope and budget for contracts with 3rd party providers and join potential RFP processes to represent the engineering view
- Own the technical backlog progress the architecture impel and align technical improvements software development practices high code quality compliance DevOps and create a culture of engineering excellence
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in software development architecture or technical project leadership
- Proven leadership experience preferably in an agile productoriented organization
- Experience and endtoend understanding of software and processes in a large scale high volume omnichannel retail or ecommerce environment
- Preferable experience with Order Management systems like IBM Sterling Fluentcommerce etc.
- Knowledge in Java Enterprise and Microservices frameworks incl. Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment on premise and/or cloud
- Strong analytical problemsolving skills and focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation
- Ability to structure complex topics and bringing in architectural models and translate those into software architectures and business language without losing required details
- Experience in scaling up team capacities and leading multiple teams at multiple locations
- Profound experience in facilitation and moderation of communities and support collaborative decision processes
