Job Posting: Red Seal Welder
Location: Remote Flyin Camp Nunavut
Rotation: 3 weeks on 3 weeks off
Background Checks: Drug & Alcohol screening and criminal record check will be conducted
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Welder to join our team for a crucial role at a remote flyin camp in Nunavut. The successful candidate will be responsible for mobile maintenance and fabrication for trucks shop and equipment repairs as well as providing essential support for winter ice road operations. This position is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of heavy machinery used in mining operations while adhering to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repair of heavy machinery including trucks and equipment ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Perform fabrication tasks as needed for mobile maintenance operations.
- Provide support for winter ice road construction and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Red Seal certification in Welding.
- Proven experience in mobile maintenance fabrication and repair of heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with mining operations and equipment is an asset.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Licensing & Certifications
- Certified Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
- Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certificate is an asset
