Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Transport Supervisor to join our team at PIS Kolhapur. This is a fulltime position requiring 1 to 3 years of experience in transport management. The successful candidate will oversee the transportation operations ensuring efficient and safe transport services for our educational institution.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Transport Supervisor with a focus on transport management and operations.
- Proficiency in transport management showcasing strong organizational and logistical abilities.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems is a must (Mandatory skill) to ensure efficient and streamlined transport operations.
- Solid understanding of bus maintenance procedures to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and supervise transport staff and coordinate activities.
- Excellent problemsolving capabilities to address and resolve transportationrelated issues proactively.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and provide clear instructions to drivers and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload under tight deadlines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee daytoday transport operations ensuring timely and safe transportation for all students and staff.
- Coordinate and manage the school bus fleet ensuring all vehicles are well maintained and operationally ready.
- Implement and monitor compliance with transport policies and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Develop and update transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency and reduce travel time.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the transport staff including bus drivers and support staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure maintenance standards are upheld and safety is not compromised.
- Address any transportationrelated issues promptly ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Liaise with parents and staff to address any concerns or requirements related to the schools transport services.
