Position Overview
We are seeking for a detailoriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for preparing journal entries performing account reconciliations assisting with monthend close and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting be able to work independently and possess excellent communication skills.
What you will have the opportunity to do:
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Perform general ledger account reconciliations and analysis.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Assist with the monthend and yearend close process.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
Participate in financial audits and internal control testing.
Assist with the preparation of various schedules required for internal and external reporting both on a GAAP basis and as required by Statutory Accounting Principles.
Provide support to other accounting functions as needed.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Skills and experience needed to succeed in the role:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Experience completing month end close reconciling the general ledger and accounting for variances.
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Effective written and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
For candidates working in person in Los Angeles the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $64200 to $88300 annually. The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate nondiscriminatory factors set by the Company.
