Job Description

Job Summary:

Teledyne ChartWorld operates. above the rooftops of Hamburg with a view of the harbor in the immediate vicinity of the St. Pauli Piers.

We develop concepts for optimized digital route and voyage planning the equipping of ships with digital navigation systems and charts as well as the installation of supplementary software products. Today we are the market leader for ECDIS as a service and a driver of digital navigation and automated voyage planning tools.


Detailed Description:

Were recruiting for an IT Support Technician who will work as an integral part of our global IT team. You will provide hardware and software support to endusers on various IT issues and incidents. The role is an excellent opportunity to join an enterprise scale IT environment where you can develop your skills experience and career.

Requirements:

  • Assists endusers with the installation configuration and ongoing usability of workstations peripheral equipment (e.g. computer telephones printers etc. mobile devices and software within established standards and guidelines
  • Provide highquality IT support and resolution for employee issues in a timely manner.
  • Training onboarding and offboarding of employees/contractors including account management.
  • Contribute to IT strategy and initiatives including automation and process improvement.
  • Independently analyzing processing and documenting incidents and service requests in 1st & 2nd level support.
  • Providing information for 3rd level support.
  • Track route and redirect problems to correct resources.
  • Follow up with users provide feedback and see problems through to resolution.
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers expectations.
  • Support in IT projects.

Experience and Skills:

  • 35 years experience as an IT Support Engineer Desktop Support Engineer IT Help Desk Technician or similar role preferably within a large Enterprise company.
  • Provisioning of Windows installations.
  • Proficiency in laptop lifecycle management and using ticket management systems.
  • Good Knowledge of Windows IOS Android.
  • Good understanding of computer systems mobile devices and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Proficiency of German and English language.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Polite and professional telephone manner.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to integrate with a team.
  • Certifications in relevant IT fields (e.g. CompTIA A Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
