The Role:
The Lead E2E Integration engineer is a key member of Services group and is responsible for integration of HE components for Irdeto multiple product lines viz CA MW OTT. He/she needs to take a proactive role to understand any customer related issue and query and provide satisfactory response back to customer after internal discussions. The role also works closely with 3rd parties (vendors system integrators) solution architect engineering and test teams to understand and isolate the component (HE STB software/ hardware etc) causing the issue and take further action.
Your mission at Irdeto:
This is a customerfacing role closely working with 3rd parties (Headend vendors System integrators) solution architect engineering and test teams to ensure the issues related to MW on customer platforms are well understood and closed to customers satisfaction.
You will be Liaising at many levels with other teams and departments it is important to possess good interpersonal skills and possess the ability to tailor your communication based upon the context.
Most of the teams work is reacting dynamically to customer affecting issues related to our support of live production systems.
It is important to be flexible adaptable and accommodating as requirements can change regularly often with little or no notice.
As part of the job the role may have to travel for interactions with customers 3rd parties and MW engineering teams. Integration
Providing the required inputs to the Project Manager for preparation of Statement of Work. along with the solution architect.
How you can add value to the team
Technical and/or Engineering background.
10 12 years of working experiencein Digital TV OTT or Video domain in which minimum of 23 years of experience in a Lead Role
Candidate must have good headend experience to work with Big Operators.
Knowledge of broadcast industry with respect to endtoend workflow operation and technologies.
Should have strong knowledge of DVB/MPEG standards and hands on HE components like Multiplexer SI/PSI Modulator PIRD Encoder etc.
Should have a good understanding of CA System in Simulcrypt environment. (Preferable Irdeto Synamedia Nagravision and Verimatrix)
Multiple years of Integration & testing experience on DVB systems.
Good Debugging and testing skills with headend and application issues.
Should have basic understanding of Linux Red Hat Ubuntu.
Hands on exposure in any Database system
Hands on exposure on scripting languages like Python XML etc
Good knowledge of Data Exchange formats like JSON
Good knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS HTTP SFTP etc
Knowledge of VMware ESXi and related technologies.
Basic Knowledge of Shell Scripting
Container orchestration and clustering tools like Docker swarm & Linux HA is a plus
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker is a plus
