OVERVIEW
St. Alphonsus Parish School is seeking a passionate and dedicatedFullTime Kindergarten Aidefor theschool year. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for kindergarten and a commitment to helping form young minds and hearts in the Catholic faith. Our teachers and aides foster academic excellence and character development guiding students spiritually intellectually and socially.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degreein education or a related field (required)
Practicing Catholic(preferred)
Experienceteaching in early learning kindergarten or elementary grades (preferred)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The ideal candidate will:

Assist the kindergarten teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
Support students in developing foundational academic skills including early literacy and numeracy.
Foster a nurturing structured and faithfilled learning environment in alignment with Catholic values.
Supervise students during transitions recess lunch and other school activities to ensure safety and engagement.
Provide individual and smallgroup support to students reinforcing concepts and assisting with skill development.
Assist with classroom management reinforcing expectations for behavior and engagement.
Prepare materials set up learning centers and organize classroom supplies to support instruction.
Communicate effectively with the teacher parents and staff to support student success.
Encourage socialemotional growth by modeling positive interactions and guiding students in conflict resolution.
Help facilitate prayer religious activities and discussions that nurture students spiritual development.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration to support classroom and schoolwide needs.

COMPENSATION
The range for this position is $25$30/hour. Compensation is determined based on internal equity market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.

HOURS
The Kindergarten Aide will work from 8am3:30pm when school is in session. This position is not paid over the summer when school is not in session. There are opportunities to work more hours over the summer if the Aide decides to assist with summer day care.
